After you sign up
Thank you — here is what happens next
Signing up is the whole of the paperwork for now. Nothing else is needed from you until you hear from us.
What happens now
- We read your form, and reply within 24 hours. A person reads it, not a system. If a day passes with nothing, email us directly — something went wrong.
- We match you to a chapter. If there is one in your area, we put you in touch with the students running it. If not, we talk to you about starting one.
- We send you the material. Slides and notes for each topic, to read before you see a session.
- You watch one before you teach one. Most volunteers help at a session or two first, then take a section when ready.
The liability form
There is one to sign before you present at a session. We send it once you have signed up — nothing to chase now, just sign it when it arrives.
While you wait
- The four topics — knowing which interests you most is useful to us.
- The scam guide, the material groups ask for first.
- Think about where a session could happen locally — a library, a senior center, a church your family knows. Volunteers finding host sites is how most sessions get booked.
Did something go wrong with the form?
Not sure it went through? Email us. We would much rather hear twice from the same person than lose somebody to a form that failed quietly.
